Landmark Acres Antiques is in the Village of Westfield one mile west (on Route 20) from our Candlelight Lodge. It has been an antique shop since 1946, one of the larger and older quality antique shops in our nation. It is the first settled property, becoming Chautauqua County with a 29,000 acre deed from the Holland Land Company in 1802. Chautauqua County has celebrated in 1902 and 2002 this anniversary on the front lawn of Landmark Acres.

Near the shore of Lake Erie, in the Village Westfield New York is our bed and breakfast Candlelight Lodge. Next door for an extended stay is our Vacation Rental, the Captain Storm House. Each offers some of the finer accommodations in Chautauqua County. Nearby is also Chautauqua Lake and Chautauqua Institution. Westfield is in the absolute center of 25 wineries along the 40 mile shore of Lake Erie. Landmark Acres Antiques is located in the oldest building, a 5000 sq. foot barn on the oldest Farm in Chautauqua County, now a grape farm in the heart of the Chautauqua Lake Erie Wine Trail.  Landmark Acres Antiques has been a Westfield New York antique shop since 1946. Landmark Acres Antiques offers for the discriminating buyer 1725 to 1925 country and formal American Furniture, with several European and a few Asian pieces. We also offer art, oriental rugs, china, porcelain, jewelry, coins, silver, books, paintings, a large selection of early lighting, aesthetic movement, art nouveau, arts and crafts, and decorative accessories.

Our website has brought us many new customers from around the nation and nearby Canada. Many of these customers are impressed with the quality of items in our shop and ask where did we find so many nice things? We have been able to purchase special items from many early private homes in the western half of NY, PA and eastern Ohio. In the 19th century this area experienced the original beginnings of the Industrial Revolution in the United States. South of us was the first discovery of oil in America, 1859 in Titusville, PA. People flocked to Western PA to purchase land contributing to the rise of five wealthy small communities north of Pittsburgh and south of us. The early rise of the furniture industry in Jamestown and Buffalo, NY (Kittinger), Ohio (Mitchell & Rammelsburg and Kramer Bros.), the steel industry Buffalo and Pittsburg, the lumber industry in Western Pennsylvania  (certain trees found here were used for the highest quality ship's masts in the world), the automobile industry, Cleveland (small parts mfg. for Detroit and the original rise of John D. Rockefeller's Standard Oil Company for refining purposes 1863) and Buffalo (Pierce Arrow, etc) now resulted in a large number of historic homes with fine furnishings.

As people in these several small surrounding communities north of Pittsburgh became extremely wealthy they bought many things at first from Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Buffalo. Western PA, Pittsburgh was also a major part of the early beginnings of the manufacturing industry (Pittsburgh Glass, etc.) with these people's thirst for furnishings. With the lumber industry, the steel industry, the furniture industry and manufacturing, the discovery of oil created a great amount of wealth, now added to growth of these few small towns. These people then began buying directly out of New York City from world famous dealers, a few bought homes on 5th Ave. as a base for getaways and shopping. Several of these New York dealers like Tiffany designed their windows and sold them furnishings, lighting, silver and jewelry. Soon these New York dealers began buying items for their shops from New England, London and Paris. This was also to now accommodate the sixty wealthiest NYC families in the world resulting from the growing new Industrial Revolution with steamships, railroads, etc. Cornelius Vanderbilt  constructed the largest, most expensive home in the United States on 5th Ave, and it is said that he had more money than was in the United States Treasury. In more recent years we have bought many items from the local homes of some of these earlier wealthy families and their descendants in Western PA, NY and Ohio.  Antiques from Ohio, PA and NY homes are arranged in room settings and  everything is priced with a detailed description of most major pieces.

You may also find that our antique shop inventory is helpful in determining the value of pieces you already own. We have owned Landmark Acres Antiques for almost 50 years and we do no shows, do not sell on Ebay and do not send anything to auction. Please visit, you can carefully examine an item before purchase. Detailed descriptions are available on most major pieces in our shop. These also help you to guarantee their authenticity and guide you with research on the net. We buy all antiques outright and sell through our shop and website.   Since we own all antiques displayed we can also offer a detailed return policy on your receipt. We are always interested in buying antiques of quality.

We will hold all purchases for a couple of days but then require a 50% deposit and the balance paid within 30 days. Please allow time for your balance to clear before pick-up and please schedule in advance.
