Candlelight Lodge B&B Rates 

Welcome to our  Candlelight Lodge B&B, the Captain Storm House Vacation Rental and our hometown of Westfield, NY. Please remember that we offer discounts on two night stays and by the week. Candlelight Lodge purchased in 1986 and converted to a B&B has seven spacious suites, formally apartments, each with elegant antique furnishings and all with private baths. We have four suites with kitchens, baths and sitting areas for longer term rental. All our suites have a coffee machine, microwave, mini-frig , wireless, AC, fine furnishings and private baths.

  •  Rates at our Inns are $120 (by the week) to $195 per night, double occupancy, plus tax.
  • There is a basic rate which does not include daily maid service or breakfast
  • For Weekly Stays in our four Vacation Rental Suites with kitchens there is no NYS sales tax (8%).
  • We require Visa or Master Card for a deposit, Balance by Check or Cash to save a 3% credit card charge.
  • December thru March we require a two night minimum stay.

The Candlelight Lodge also offers four apartments for guests concerned with safety, security and privacy. Each apartment has a full kitchen, bath and sitting area that allow for their use as a Vacation Rental by the Week (no NYS sales tax of 8%,  5% county tax still applies on stays less than one month). These apartments are Rebecca's and Pine by the week or month.  The Captain Storm House has a fully equipped country kitchen, formal dining room, library and double parlor each with a fireplace and special woodwork. Each of four suites has a large modern Kohler bath for total privacy. The Captain Storm House has a large wrap around front porch and a small private back porch high in the trees - a wonderful getaway vacation rental offering privacy, safety and security for up to 8 people.

Arrangements for entertaining and their numbers must be made in advance. Please no children. No more than 20 people total may use the facilities at any one time. Special furnishings, consideration for neighbors and local ordinances are important.

Whole House Special Rate

 If you choose the two suite option you must select at the time of your booking which suites you prefer. Each has its own special charm. We offer the Captain Storm Suite with Jacuzzi (2nd floor), the Parisian with adjoining library on the main floor or the Empire and the Federalist Suites (2nd floor), all with exquisite furnishings and special Kohler private baths.

 Please remember that you may be able to add an additional night or one or two more suites up to the time of your arrival. This offers a further reduced rate and now allows you exclusive use of the house.

There is no NYS Sales Tax of 8% on weekly rentals, county tax of 5% still applies on stays of less than one month

The Captain Storm Suite

 A spacious suite with Civil War carved Victorian queen size three piece marble top bedroom set, rare early lock side chest, elegant Renaissance library table,  AC, wireless and large bay window await you.

Luxurious bathroom ( 175 sq. ft. ) - large Kohler double Whirlpool, corner shower, large round architectural window, tile floor and French vanity. Interesting French accents decorate the two rooms.

 
 

 

 The Parisian Suite

First floor, three rooms - bedroom, private library and bath, AC, wireless, carved chestnut woodwork, custom queen size carved Napoleonic bed with full hand carved swan on footboard and hand painted scene on headboard, French and Chinese accents and Bostonian Federal inlaid desk, large Kohler Garden Tub and Shower bath.

 
   

 

 The Empire Suite

A queen size carved mahogany French bed, library table, Persian rug, bombe chest, carved stand and carved table, all mahogany pieces made for New York City elite in 1890, AC, large Kohler Garden Tub and Shower bath.

 
   

 The Federalist Suite
